The Heart of The Collective

Welcome to the Collective!

Maui Movement Collective was born from a simple belief: movement and creativity are more powerful when shared. Rooted in Haiku’s vibrant Upcountry community, we are more than a studio. We’re a gathering place for connection, expression, and discovery.

We welcome people of all ages, backgrounds, and experience levels to explore movement, discover new possibilities, and grow at their own pace. Whether you’re trying something new or building a lifelong passion, you’ll find encouragement, inspiration, and a community that celebrates every step of the journey.

From aerial arts and movement classes to creative workshops and wellness experiences, we bring together local instructors, artists, and creatives, to share their passions and inspire others.

At the heart of it all is community – a place where we can lift each other up, celebrate individuality, and find joy in moving, creating, and growing together.

Explore. Create. Belong.

Sarah Brown
Co-Founder

After years of spending my workdays behind a desk, I reached a point where I knew I needed to get moving again! What started with simple walks in the park eventually led me to the world of burlesque, where I discovered a love for dance, performance, and creative expression. Along the way, I met Sarina, and together we turned our shared passion into years of performing, producing shows, and building a vibrant, inclusive community rooted in creativity, connection, and self-expression. My own journey taught me that it’s never too late to discover a new passion, step outside your comfort zone, or surprise yourself with what you’re capable of.

Having raised my family and made my home in Upcountry Maui, this community holds a special place in my heart. Maui Movement Collective brings together everything I love about movement, creativity, and bringing people together. Our vision is to keep the magic of aerial arts alive while expanding opportunities for people of all ages and experience levels to explore movement in their own way. More than just a studio, I hope MMC becomes a place where everyone feels welcome, inspired, and free to express themselves, try something new, and find their own sense of belonging.

Megan Sparkle
Social Media Manager + Instructor

Megan Sparkle is a physical creative that loves expressing herself through movement. In her early years she played and coached roller derby, traveling amongst the states and competing locally. Since moving to Maui almost 10 years ago she has rediscovered her love for stage through character acting, burlesque dancing and most recently aerial arts (specifically dance trapeze). In her free time she likes costuming, petting cats and lifting heavy.

Instructor
I've been teaching group fitness since I was eighteen. These days that's ShaktiRize, a feminine, empowering movement class, and Bootscootin Maui, the line-dancing nights I co-created with my friend Jenean.

Off the dance floor, I'm a licensed massage therapist at Intuitive Healthcare in Wailuku, a mom to a son in college, and a full-time caregiver for my father. It's a full life, and it's exactly why I teach what I teach.

Jayne Frost

Instructor
Jayne Frost’s (aka BB Longlegs) love of dance began in her first ballet class when she was 10. This love was, temporarily, extinguished within the month when she fell on her face in class. She would then join her high school's competitive dance team, which was also not her vibe. Since moving to Maui 6 years ago, she found the beauty of  free creative expression through aerial and burlesque classes on the island. Jayne is very excited to start teaching the kind of classes that have reinvigorated her love for dance!

Stefanie Gastaldi

Instructor
Stefanie’s love of movement is rooted in more than a decade of West African dance, where she fell in love with rhythm, expressive movement, and the energy created when people move together. She brings that spirit to Shakti Rize, blending electronic music and deep beats with powerful, feminine movement in a class that’s all about letting go, feeling strong, and connecting with your body. A longtime Maui resident, Stefanie is also a mom of four, co-owns an interior design studio, and is an avid outrigger paddler and steers-woman. She finds joy in creativity, community, music that makes you want to move, and pretty much anything that gets her out on the ocean.

Michaela McGuire

Instructor
Movement has always been a big part of Michaela’s life. She began gymnastics at the age of 4 and has over 20 years of gymnastics experience. She competed nationwide as a gymnast and competitive all-star cheerleader, and was on her high school diving team. About 10 years ago she discovered and fell in love with aerial acrobatics. Michaela enjoys all aerial apparatus, but specializes in Lyra and trapeze. She has been performing in aerial cabarets and burlesque shows on Maui for about 6 years now and has taught with Maui Aerial Arts and independent aerial programs for around 5 years. When not soaring through the air Michaela can be found fire spinning on the beach, dancing in the forest, and doing acro/ partner yoga. She also currently teaches art at Haiku elementary school. She is especially looking forward to working with youth and sharing her passion for movement with the community.
